After almost two years of preparation, we organized all the needed documents to accomplish our children’s aid project in Bhutan. The last weeks have been thrilling, trying and demanding. But now, everything looks fine. We are so happy and thankful. In May we will start to visit the Bhutnese Amateur Athletic Federation and bring 150 kids from the grass root level weatherproof clothing, high quality mountain shoes, backpacks and more to participate in physical ed at their schools. And sport takes place outside, even in 4000m height above sea level.
The most exciting thing for us all the time was, that people from all over the world helped to make this happen. From Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Great Britain, Nepal and of course Bhutan. A massive thanks for all the great children’s stuff for this very special project to Sprayway and Neil, LOWA and Arthur, Tatonka.com and Wolfgang, Marmot and Lukas.
Sometimes it takes some endurance and greenness to move a mountain for kids. Its worth it.
Thx to Brigitte for all your optimism, thx Klaus for your calmness and humor. It will be a pleasure to be with you in Bhutan. Tons of love to Simon from DBSchenker – for your unremittingly work: you did it again and helped us across every border. Thx to Tsewang and Dorji for coordinating this project from Bhutan.
