50 children between 6 and 12 years are living in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains on 1800m altitude in the heart of the traditional Berber valley called “Ait Bouguemez”. The climate is soil and harsh in an high altitude – the kids need warm jackets, bags or backpacks for their schoolstuff.
Sebastian Bestle from Vienna will visit these children on his way through the High Atlas. He will run the TransAtlas Marathon. This is a trail race of about 280 km in 6 stages of 30 to 60 km per day (with about 12,000 +/- meters).
